Accessibility statement

nukketeatterisampo.fi is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which requires that public online services must be accessible.

The nukketeatterisampo.fi website was first published on 17 April 2014 and the latest version of the website was published on 9 December 2020. This accessibility statement has been published on 15.12.2020. We have assessed the accessibility of the service ourselves.

The accessibility status of the nukketeatterisampo.fi website

The nukketeatterisampo.fi website largely meets the requirements of the law.

Our website mainly has two types of content: text about our activities and introducing our performances, and images and video material (trailers) about the performances. The images present the visual content of the perfomances. Where possible, we’ve added a caption to what it’s about. However, not all images have this content yet.

We have a plan and schedule to make key content accessible. In addition, we train our staff to produce content in an accessible way and constantly monitor the accessibility status of the site.

In the new version of the website, special attention was paid to both the technical and content accessibility of the pages in the design and implementation. The site also has an accessibility tool that makes it easy to change the size, contrast, coloring, or other elements of the text to make it easier to read. You can access the tool from the accessibility logo on the right side of the page.

Content, that is not accessible

Not all images on the site yet have alternate descriptions (ALTs) that allow the image content to be read on a variety of devices.

The site features video footage – short trailers – of some of our performances. Not all videos are fully accessible. They were made before 23 September 2018 and are not subject to applicable law. However, we will endeavor to add subtitles to all videos on the website if they contain spoken content. Some of the videos have no speech at all.

You have the right, for good cause, to obtain, in an accessible form, the information you need to determine or exercise your interests, rights or obligations. If you do not receive this information in an accessible format from our online service, you can make a request by sending an email to the email address below. We will respond to your request within 14 days. If the request concerns extensive content, we may extend the response time by up to two weeks. We will notify you if the response time is extended. If we do not provide the information in an accessible format, we will provide you with a written substantiated certificate to that effect.
